When you sin, remember David's prayer.  Confess you sin, ask for forgiveness and cleansing.  God doesn't want to hurt you, He wants to help you.  God doesn't want to curse you, He wants to cleanse you.  God doesn't want you to suffer, He wants to restore to you the joy of His salvation and use you as a powerful witness of His mercy and grace.
